Saskatchewan Stream: maximum 30% of eligible Saskatchewan expenditures. Service Production Stream: 25%. Where the majority of principal photography occurs in Saskatchewan, frequent-filming bonus 10%, rural bonus 5% and Saskatchewan post-production bonus 5% may apply, subject to stream maximums of 40% and 35%.
Production type & commercial eligibility
Commercials excluded. Commercial intent/market trigger is required, but advertising is excluded in the stated circumstances, including budgets under 100000.
Qualifying expenditure
Eligible Saskatchewan expenditures. Advertising projects with budgets under 100000 are ineligible; advertising contracted by Saskatchewan government entities and projects distributed only within Saskatchewan are also ineligible.
Labor & residency
Saskatchewan Stream and Service Production Stream support eligible Saskatchewan expenditures; an Apprenticeship Stream may provide up to 40% of eligible non-resident salaries upon completion of training with Saskatchewan residents.
Application timing
2026-27 opening date April 1, 2026; continuous intake until funding is exhausted. Productions must have a relevant market trigger or fair-market-value distribution agreement.
